A SalI/ClaI double digest yields fragments of 3 kb (vector) and 2.5 kb (insert). The insert includes about 440 bp of 5' untranslated sequence which differs from that of pHLC3.49 (ATCC 59110/59111) except for 60 bp upstream of the coding sequence. The insert encodes part of the amino terminus of the beta chain of C3. The insert overlaps the 5' end of pHLC3.11 (ATCC 59108/59109). |
